Website

The Auberge de Bionnassay is a refuge and restaurants located in the hamlet of Bionnassay below the Col de Voza south-west from Les Houches and south-east from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. The auberge has long history having been a farm house for more than 200 years before being transformed into a refuge in 1968. The refuge is typically open from June to the end of September each year. Make sure to check out their website directly to confirm their hours of operation and to make bookings.

The restaurant at the Auberge de Bionnassay shares the same opening dates as the refuge. The restaurant has a quite large menu compared to many of the other refuges and snack bars in and around the Chamonix Valley. This includes multiple apetizers, main dishes, fondue and deserts.

The refuge has both private rooms and a dormitory. There are a total of 7 bedrooms varrying in size from 2 to 6 people each. We are assuming that for the dormitory the usual rules will apply and you will need to bring your own sleeping bag liner. Please confirm this directly with the auberge upon bookings. As usual, bookings are best made months ahead of time as this auberge is on the main route for the Tour du Mont Blanc and is likely to be fully booked during its months of operations.
