The Chalet Refuge de Lognan is fairly large refuge located near the terminus of the Argentiere Glacier high above the town of Argentiere. The refuge has an indoor dining hall and a nice outdoor terrace wrapping around the building. You can see the Argentiere glacier from the outside deck. The refuge doubles as a restaurant and their main dish is "Croute" or bread baked with local cheese and white wine and then there are different version you can order with mushrooms, ham, eggs, etc. We have had them a couple of times and its really great. Bring cash as the refuge has no card machine.

The refuge is open in summer when the Plan Joran gondola is open which is typically from mid-June to mid-September. It is also open in winter from roughly mid December to the end of May. We couldn't find much information on the sleeping arrangements they provide but other websites seem to mention that that they offer rooms of different capacities and have a total capacity for 30 people.

The easiest access to the Chalets Refuge Lognan is using the Plan Joran gondola Les Chosalets just south from Argentiere. From there it is a roughly 2km trail to the refuge. The main sight that can be combined with a visit to the refuge is the Argentiere Glacier with view points all along the southern bank of the glacier easily reachable from the refuge. We got a great trail that includes both.
