The Chapelle de Gietroz is a small chapel located in the small hamlet of Gietroz in between Vallorcine and Finhaut in Switzerland. The chapel dates back to 1966 and the building it is in used to be the village dairy.
The VerticAlp furnicular which runs between Le Chatelard and Lac Emosson runs through the hamlet, very nearby the chapel. The chapel looks very sober from the outside but has a pleasantly decorated inside and the locals always seem to be taking good care of it.
Gietroz can easily be reached from Finhaut using a fairly flattish paved road. There is also a trail you can take from Barberine on the French side.
