The Col de la Terrasse is a rocky mountain pass located on a ridgeline that runs from Pointe de la Terrasse to the Col du Passet above Lac Emosson.  The Col de la Terrasse lies right across the border in Switzerland and the trail marker is provided by the Swiss authorities.

The Col de la Terrasse is a three way junction with the trail south leading down to the Refuge de Loriaz. The trail heading north-west leads to Lac Emosson and Lac Vieux Emosson. The trail heading west leads to the Col des Corbeux and onwards to the Cheval Blanc and the ridgeline that leads to the summit of Mont Buet (3098m).

We have detailed trail descriptions for two routes that lead to the summit of Mont Buet from a northern approach from Cheval Blanc. The version that passes through Loriaz and Cheval Blanc can be found here.
