This wooden cross is located in Le Siseray along the beautiful Chemin des Diligences between the town center of Vallorcine and the tiny hamlet of Barberine. The text "Mission 1941" has been carved into the cross. The cross is located on a junction with one of the main trails that climbs up to the Refuge de Loriaz from Vallorcine, approaching the refuge from the north-eastern side.

The Chemin des Diligences is a historic route dating all the way back to 1792 providing an important link to Martigny in Switzerland. It is a beautiful trail, running mostly through farmland and linking the tiny hamlets in the Vallorcine valley.
