The Église de la Sainte-Trinité is the main church of the town of Les Contamines-Montjoie in the Montjoie Valley south-west from Chamonix. The church was built in 1759 by Domenico Gualino de Sastegno from Piedmont after the local population came together and decided they wanted their own church and not have to go to the church at Saint-Nicholas-de-Veroce. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and was consecrated in 1766. The bell tower was added in 1845 and the interiors were completed in 1847.

Three statues of Saint Peter, Saint Paul and the Good Shepherd decorate the facade. The high altar is decorated by the statues of Saint Augustine and Saint Francois de Sales. The right side altar is dedicated to Saint Joseph. The altar on the left is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.

The church is located in the center of town. We have a fantastic trail that takes you from the Bellevue lift above Les Houches to Les Contamines via the Col de Tricot. This trail ends at the eastern edge of Les Contamines and when you descend down into the village using the Chemin du P'Tou you will pass by the chuch from its east facing side.
