The Grotte a Farinet is a small cave located behind the Buvette de Berard at the Cascade de Berard. The cave is accessible through a new path that was created at the start of 2023. The path runs behind the snack bar on the left side. You will see a sign for it. From there a couple of metal stair cases and bridges make it possible to reach the cave entrance. The cave itself consists of a single open space with two light shafts and artificial lighting on a motion sensor. Inside the cave there are a couple of information signs. The cave isn't very large but together with the spectacular waterfall and the snackbar it is definitely a fantastic place to visit.
We got a short loop starting at the Le Buet parking that visits the waterfall, the snack bar and the cave and then takes a nice scenic trail back to the start. Its highly recommend for families with kids or people looking for a short trail that has a lot of great scenery. We also got two longer trails. One is the climb of Mont Buet and the other is the long trail going all across the Valon Berard to Servoz.
