The Oratoire Moussoux is a small oratory, or shrine, located on the Route des Moussoux on the northern slope of Chamonix below the Brevent. Oratories are small sites of worship that were typically placed along roads to provide protection and blessings to the surrounding neighborhoods and to travellers passing through. This oratory has a golden statue of Mother Marry on the inside with a wooden door and a metal grate protecting the window. The oratoire seems recently renovated and well kept.

The Route des Moussoux is a very nice and scenic road with an elevated south-facing orientation providing nice views over the valley and the Mont Blanc Massif across the valley. Continuing westward on the Route des Moussoux brings you to the Promenade de Bois Prin trail from where you can easily connect to the Petite Balcon Sud.
