The Refuge Nid d'Aigle is located at the every end of the Tramway du Mont Blanc mountain train. It offers incredible views over the Glacier de Bionnassay and the mountains across including the Chaine des Aravis and the Pointe Percee. The refuge is very popular and very busy in summer. This is mostly because it is so easy to reach using the Tramway du Mont Blanc. People climbing Mont Blanc using the traditional route will often use the Tramway and make their first stop before setting out at this Refuge. The refuge is open from mid June to Mid September. Check their listing on the FFCam website for more details.
