The Chapelle de Vaudagne is a beautiful little chapel located in the hamlet of Vaudagne, north west from Les Houches. The chapel dates back to 1680. The date on the chapel mentions the year 1815 which is likely the date of a major renovation. The chapel is placed under the protection of 4 saints: Saint-François de Sales, Saint Félix, Saint Sébastien and Saint Théodule.  We are assuming this is the same Saint Theodule after which the Chapelle Saint-Theodule in Les Tines is named. The metal grill door of the chapel has been closed each time we visited but at least it enables you to have a look inside. The inside is really pretty and we would love to have more details on what is kept inside. If anyone knows, please tell us.

We have a couple of trails for reaching Vaudagne and this chapel. We got a nice easy, family friendly trail from Lac Chavants in Les Houches and a longer more challenging route coming from Servoz.
